Renowned Indian American filmmaker Mira Nair, known for films such as “Namesake,” “Monsoon Wedding,” “Queen of Katwe,” and “Salaam Bombay,” among others, has been roped in to direct a screen adaptation of Vikram Seth`s bestselling novel, “A Suitable Boy.” The film will feature an entirely non-white cast and will be filmed in India. Shuttling between New York, London, Uganda, and her family home in New Delhi where she will be anchored for the next two years – the 60-year-old Nair has described the project as a “culmination of my life`s work.
