App-based money transfer to Indian banks by Qatar Bank |
Indians working or residing in the Gulf countries will be able to send money to their homes in India much easily as the banks are making the remittance process easier. Notably, customers of Qatar Islamic Bank will now be able to send money to India-based bank accounts without much delay as the QIB launched its Direct Remit service to India as part of a new bouquet of speedy services to its customers. The service is exclusively available on the bank`s app. It is a 24x7 service, and is free of charge till the end of 2020. The bank claims that remittances to India by customers who avail of the service will now only take 60 seconds. Besides, transfers can be made to any bank in India. The Islamic bank said that this facility is being offered under a partnership with HDFC Bank. The partnership will enable QIB to directly access IMPS & NEFT networks in India. Remittance senders can track their transactions on the app and receive instant updates regarding the status of their transactions. The app is available on Apple Store, Google Play, and Huawei App Gallery, adding that customers can register themselves via their ATM/Debit card number and PIN.
