Indian American singer/songwriter Amanda Sodhi`s previous single, “Behind My Sunglasses,” had impressed music maestro A.R. Rahman. And now her latest release, “Puppet Life,” is being appreciated by celebrities, including musician Hari Haran, filmmaker Jaideep Varma and actress Kalki Koechlin. Sodhi has released her new single under National and Filmfare Award-winning sound engineer K.J. Singh`s music label, Asli Music. This catchy pop-rock song captures the feelings of “helplessness” and “despair” when things consistently don`t go as planned. Shot by Friday Night Originals and A432 Productions, “Puppet Life`s” video showcases some of Kolkata`s most iconic spots. The song has been produced, arranged and mixed by Suvromalya Mukherjee and mastered by K.J. Singh. “`Puppet Life` was born out of feeling extreme helplessness as an artist trying to find home in a toxic, hostile environment. It is the last song she wrote before bidding Mumbai goodbye. She hopes `Puppet Life` miraculously finds a way to audiences. Sodhi`s work has aired on MTV Indies, Channel V and Vh1.
