Even before Indian cine lovers could recover from the loss of a star, they got another saddening news. Veteran superstar of Indian cinema, Rishi Kapoor passed away on Thursday. The Karz superstar was 67 years of age and was not keeping well and had been admitted to a Mumbai hospital. The actor returned to India last September after undergoing treatment for cancer in the US for almost a year. In February, Kapoor was hospitalised twice due to his health issues. Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: He`s GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed ! Rishi Kapoor, was the second son of legendary Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor, and made his solo debut in 1973 with `Bobby` opposite Dimple Kapadia for which he also received the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1974. On Wednesday morning, renowned actor Irrfan Khan passed away in a Mumbai hospital, losing his battle with a rare form of cancer. He was 54. The Maqbool actor, who was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018, lost his mother in Jaipur just four days ago. He was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital with a colon infection. Irrfan was known internationally for his roles in the hit films Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi, The Amazing Spider-Man and Jurassic World, and was known for his nuanced and understated performances.
