Sunny Deol`s action thriller BLANK is a story of a young Muslim boy Hanif played by the debutant Karan Kapadia who serves as a human bomb for Jihadis of unclear provenance and the ATS chief played by Sunny Deol himself. The plot is a tussle between the long debated issue of hindu and muslims and the latter being wrongly targeted due to a preconceived notion. All the drama revolves around a terrorist who is captured by the cops, but the investigation takes an unexpected turn when a suicide bomber apparently suffers a memory loss. The film has been directed by Behzad Khambata, and has garnered mixed reviews from critics. The screenplay by Pranav Adarsh and Pradeep Atluri while it does provide a degree of suspense, is quite a stretch for most part. The plot is wafer thin and allows very little room for performance. Debutant Karan Kapadia—former actress and costume designer Simple Kapadia`s son and the leading man of the film - does have a strong screen presence. Blank has grossed 536 thousand 272 dollars in its opening weekend. The film opened to audiences on 3 May and raked in 139 thousand 834 dollars on the first day, but witnessed growth on its second day and hauled 168 thousand 666 dollars.
