JOGI is a riveting drama on 1984 anti-Sikh. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the story is about the sensitive anti Sikh riots that followed the assassination of then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984 by Sikh bodyguards. Diljit started his career as a singer, but the handsome Sikh has moved on to acting. `Jogi` establishes his acting skills. Critics have lauded him for a great onscreen performances by a Bollywood leading man in recent times. `Jogi` has a good support cast and director Ali Abbas Zafar has dealt with the super sensitive subject deftly. Diljit Dosanjh reportedly says that `These are stories I grew up with`. `Jogi` is set in Delhi and depicts a three-day period immediately after the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on October 31,1984 that started a wave of anti-Sikh violence in the city. The story focuses on the titular hero, played by Diljit, and how he makes sure over a hundred of his community members escape Delhi. `Jogi` releases on Netflix on September 16.Jogi
