Farhan Akhtar releases rap song ‘India Ke Toofan’ |
Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar on 6th July dropped an inspirational rap song with the spirit of `Todun Taak` titled INDIA KE TOOFAN. It introduces the hardships and struggles of what it takes to become a boxer. The India Ke Toofaan track, composed by Dub Sharma, pays tribute to boxers from India and their never-say-die attitude. The song also features top female pugilists in the country, such as the world championship gold medallist Laishram Sarita Devi, bronze medallist Kavita Chahal, Sonia Chahal, who is silver Medalist, two-time Youth World Champion Nitu Ghanghas, and state champion silver medallist Thulasi Helen. The song is penned and sung by Rapper D`Evil aks Dhaval Parab. Sharing the song, Farhan Akhtar wrote, “Humaara salaam hai un fighters ko, jinko jhukana namumkin hai. Jo apne andar ke toofaan se poori duniya ko himmat dete hai. Ab Uthega… #Toofaan uthega.” The film`s trailer last week opened to a positive response and so did the first track, Todun Taak. The lyrics are inspired by the spirit of Mumbai, a city that never sleeps and a city that gives an ordinary commoner the ability to dare to dream and wings to fly. The song tries to bring to the fore the passion of a determined man hailing from the slums but with dreams large enough to touch the skies. “Toofan” stars Farhan Akhtar in the lead role along with Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Hussain Dalal, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Darshan Kumaar and Vijay Raaz. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Toofaan will start streaming from July 16 on the Prime Video.
