Friday film review |
Friday saw a series of low budget movies release after the Indian Election Commission banning the release of the much awaited controversial high profile biopic on India`s Prime Minister Narendra Modi also named as `PM Narendra Modi`. Four movies Paharganj, Tashkent Files, Albert Pinto ko gussa kyun aata hai and Marudhar Express was released on the silver screens giving the viewers a tough time to choose from. Tashkent files, is a story which claims to unearth the hidden truth behind the death of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The film has veterans like Naseeruddin Shah, Mithun Chakraborty Pallavi Joshi and Pankaj Tripathi among others. The film however well researched revolves around an intense subject and is surely a well tried effort from the director. Paharganj was another interesting film released on friday, played by a spanish actress Lorena Franco, the story of the film revolves around the streets of Paharganj in New delhi. A lover in search of her boyfriend, a basketball coach and a local goon, how their stories come together is an interesting watch. Although the film fails to impress the critics, but it is getting mixed reactions from the viewers.
