After much delay, the winners of India`s 67th National Film Awards were announced on 22nd March. The announcement has been delayed due to the pandemic. The prestigious National Film Awards are given out by the Directorate of Film Festivals, which comes under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The winners included late actor Sushant Singh Rajput`s film “Chhichhore” which won the Best Hindi film category award. The Best Actress award went to Kangana Ranaut for her “Manikarnika” and “Panga”. Best Actor award was shared by Manoj Bajpayee for the film “Bhosle” and Dhanush for his Tamil film “Asuran”. Best Female Playback singer award went to Bardo while the Best Male Playback Singer award was bagged by B Praak. Best Supporting Actress award went to Pallavi Joshi and the Best Supporting Actor award to Vijay Sethupathi. The awards are usually presented by the President of India. However, the 66th National Film Awards saw Vice President Venkaiah Naidu honouring the winners while President Ram Nath Kovind had hosted the high tea for the winners.
