Indian actress Priyanka Chopra`s next Hollywood film, “A Kid Like Jake,” is all set to screen at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, to be held in Park City, Salt Lake City, and at the Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah, from Jan. 18 to 28, 2018. The film, directed by Silas Howard, will be showcased in the premiere section. Chopra shared her excitement, writing that she cannot wait for her fans to watch the film. The official premise of “A Kid Like Jake,” starring Claire Danes, Jim Parsons, Octavia Spencer, Chopra, Ann Dowd, and Amy Landecker, is: “As married couple Alex and Greg navigate their roles as parents to a young son who prefers Cinderella to G.I. Joe, a rift grows between them, one that forces them to confront their own concerns about what`s best for their child, and each other.” “Kailash,” a film on child rights activist and Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, will also debut at the 2018 festival. Directed by Derek Doneen and produced by Davis Guggenheim and Sarah Anthony, the film will be showcased in the U.S. documentary category. The film will depict how Satyarthi, who as a young man promised himself that he would end child slavery in his lifetime, has rescued more than 80,000 children and built a global movement in the decades since. This intimate and suspenseful film follows one man`s journey to do what many believed was impossible, said the festival.
