A Chennai court has sought the response of superstar Rajinikanth and others on a petition by a producer claiming that the title and story of the actor`s upcoming flick `Kaala Karikala` belonged to him. Assistant City Civil Judge R K P Tamilarasi issued notice to Rajinikanth, the director and producer of the movie and South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce to file their replies by June 15. Petitioner K Rajashekaran, proprietor of GSR Vinmeen Creations, sought a direction to restrain the respondents from producing `Kaala Karikala` till the disposal of his petition. Meanewhile, journalist Jawahar Nadar in Mumbai has accused the team of `Kaala` of portraying his father, late S Thiraviam Nadar, in a negative light. Ahead of his film `Kaala` which is set to release on june 7, south superstar Rajnikanth has landed into legal trouble. The journalist has filed a defamation suit against the actor and also demanded an apology within 36 hours. The journalist says his father was a jaggery and sugar merchant. He had moved to Mumbai from Tamil Nadu`s Tuticorin district in 1957 and over a period of time was nick-named `Gudwala Seth` and `Kaala Seth`.
