SRK shoots next ZERO in Alabama |
This is to recall that Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan`s 2010 drama, “My Name is Khan,” was shot in beautiful landmarks of San Francisco, Calif. For his new film, “Zero,” the actor has `zeroed` in on Alabama. Production began recently in Huntsville, Alabama – which has a large Indian American population – for the film starring Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Karuna Badwal, the film`s co-producer and Khan`s business manager, talked about the project May 10 at the Hindu Cultural Center of North Alabama outside Huntsville, where several dozen actors and locals were dressed in traditional Indian clothes for a temple scene. On May 11, a wedding scene was filmed. The cast went through several takes while visitors, including U.S. Space and Rocket Center CEO Dr. Deborah Barnhart, watched from the back of the temple. The film will be the most expensive Indian movie ever made, Badwal was quoted as saying, partly because of the technical equipment the plot requires. Producers have brought 90 people from India to Huntsville, and hired another 50 from American production companies, Badwal added. Some important scenes are also scheduled to be shot at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
