Salman Khan is back but this time in a different role, that, of a producer. Salman Khan Films` latest offering is Notebook. The film marks bollywood debut of actor Zaheer Iqbal and yesteryear actress Nutan`s grand-daughter Pranutan Bahl. The trailer of the film was released in Mumbai in an event attended by the lead actors and Salman Khan himself. The little kids starring in the film were also present at the launch event. The film Notebook is a love story between two people who have never met each other. Kabir played by Zaheer comes to teach in a school in the Kashmir valley which is far from population. Depressing but beautiful. He is there to replace a teacher who used to teach there earlier, Firdaus played by Pranutan. The trailer leaves hints of the love story and makes the audience curious about how through a notebook left by Firdaus, Kabir falls in love with her. The film is said to be on the lines of the Hollywood movie - `The Notebook` which also is an adaptation of a novel by Nicholas Sparks by the same name. The film is directed by National Award winning director Nitin Kakkar and shot exclusively in Kashmir. Along with Salman Khan, the film is produced by Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde. The film is set to release in theatres on March 29.
