20 million take holy dip on basant panchami |
Country`s biggest spiritual and cultural events the KUMBH is attracting record number of devotees and tourists from world over. Over 20 Million people took a holy dip on the third and final Shahi snan. Kumbh is rightly world`s biggest conglomeration of humans as the 49 days long spiritual event is drawing record number of devotees and tourists from world over. Around two crore devotees took a holy dip during the third and final Shahi Snan on the occasion of Basant Panchami on Sunday at Prayagraj. As the shahi snan is considered highly auspicious a large number of crowds take a dip in Sangam, a confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. Basant panchami amongst Hindus is very auspicious as they pray to the goddess of knowledge Saraswati on this day. This also marks the third and the final Shahi snan for the Kumbh which occurs avery 12 years.
