Hampi a beautiful ancient village in the south Indian state of Karnataka is a world heritage site dotted with numerous ruined temple complexes from the Vijayanagara Empire, attracting tourists from world over. Hampi is one of the finest historical sites of ancient age in the world. It was the initial capital city of the Vijayanagara Empire located on the bank of Tungabhadra River.
