BJP to hold multiple rallies in Bengal |
After the opposition parties` United India rally in Kolkata, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party have made plans to hold multiple rallies in the state. These also include rallies from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that will be scheduled for the next few days. The west bengal division of BJP on tuesday announced that PM Modi will address a rally at Siliguri in North Bengal on January 28th. He will also address rallies at Bongaon on January 31 and Asansol on February 8. BJP president Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Malda on Tuesday and address a rally in the district. A political controversy also erupted when BJP alleged that the state government has denied permission for the landing of Amit Shah`s helicopter, but Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee clarified that permission has been given already. On Wednesday Mr Shah is scheduled to hold two rallies at Jhargram and Suri in South Bengal. The Left parties have also stepped up preparations for their rally at the Brigade Parade Ground on February 3.
