BJP to reorganise Bihar unit |
Nitish has created an unwieldy and opportunistic alliance with parties - RJD of former Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav and the Congress. The cabinet expansion by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar came after squabbles, bickering and bargaining for portfolios by alliance partners and even individual leaders. Nitis`’s former alliance partner, the BJP that rules the centre, is in a huddle to chalk out the future courses of action. Nitish broke off the alliance twice in the past 8 years. The BJP will be arranging a meeting on August 16th with all core committee members helmed by party national President J P Nadda in the national capital, at its headquarters. Nadda is likely to reorganise, introspect and discuss the upheaval of the party ahead of the state assembly elections. The Nitish-led `Mahagathbandhan` or the grand alliance has the support of 164 members in the assembly including some fringe parties.
