Boeing to move 150 jobs to India |
Good news for people looking for jobs in the aerospace and aviation sector as the world`s largest aerospace company Boeing is set to move about 150 IT and finance jobs from the US to India. The company has 10,000 positions this year. The change also assumes significance when Indian airlines like Tata Group-owned Air India recently announced that it will lease 30 Boeing and Airbus aircraft, expanding its fleet by more than 25 percent. The newest carrier Akasa Air will keep inducting about 2 B737 MAX every month. B787 Dreamliner deliveries have already resumed. At the same time, Boeing has significantly increased hiring in engineering and manufacturing as market demand increases. The company has been simplifying its corporate structure to reduce complexity and focus more resources on engineering, manufacturing, and product development for the last several years. Several of Boeing’s corporate functions, including IT and finance, have implemented changes to streamline their operations, resulting in lower staffing levels within some corporate functions.
