Bombay High Court`s no to Pahlaj Nihalani`s plea |
The Bombay High Court`s vacation bench on has refused to hear CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) former chairperson and filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani`s plea over cuts to his film on urgent basis. Nihalani had moved the court against 20 cuts to his film `Rangeela Raja`. During an interaction with the media after visiting the Bombay High Court, Nihalani said, “CBFC has ordered too many cuts in my film. They have given UA certificate to `Rangeela Raja`. These cuts are unjustified and uncalled for.” Nihalani claimed that the cuts are unjust and uncalled for as the Govinda starrer is not vulgar. Pointing fingers at the current CBFC chairman Prasoon Joshi, he added, Prasoon Joshi doesn`t even go to the office. In his absence, the proxy chairman is clearing films from all over the country.” He also demanded Joshi be sacked as he never sits in the office.
