Top leaders remember Kargil President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were among several leaders on Friday to pay tribute to the soldiers of the Indian armed forces who laid their lives during the Kargil War in 1999 when India defeated Pakistan to recapture all posts occupied by the neighbouring country. India is observing the 20th Kargil Vijay Diwas on Friday, which marks the victory of the Indian armed forces over Pakistan in the mountains of Kargil in Jammu and Kashmir on July 26, 1999. FDI inflow registered growth of 79% during the last 6 years Foreign Direct Investment inflow in India has increased during the last six years from 36.05 billion US Dollars in 2013-14 to 64.38 billion US Dollars in 2018-19, registering a growth of 79 percent. Sources in the Union Commerce Ministry said it has been the endeavour of the government to put in place an enabling and investor-friendly FDI policy. The intent is to make the FDI policy more investor-friendly and remove the policy bottlenecks that have been hindering investment inflow into the country.
