China says its just a technical hold |
In a development encouraging for India Chinese ambassador to India Luo Zhaohui has expressed confidence that the issue regarding listing of Masood Azhar as a global terrorist at the USC would be “resolved” soon. In a latest development after China`s blocked india`s attempt to declare Jaish-e-Mohammed, chief Azhar Masood as designated global terrorist, Chinese Ambassador to India Luo Zhaohui has said this is only a technical hold and there is time for continued consultations. He assured, Beijing fully understands New Delhi`s concern and the matter will be resolved. China had last week placed a technical hold on the proposal at the UNSC that had been moved by France, the United States and Britain. It may also be recalled that the proposal was backed by 14 out of 15 UN Security Council members. China was the only country that did not back the proposal, much to India`s “disappointment”.
