Defence Ministry warns Pak against ceasefire violations |
In a stern warning to Pakistan over repeated ceasefire violation on the Line of control between the two countries, India`s defence ministry has made it clear, the country`s armed forces were marinating strict vigil and any further provocation or misadventure by Pakistan will be responded in a befitting manner with dire consequences . The ministry, in a terse statement, yesterday asserted that post India`s warning to the Pakistan Army “NOT to target civilian areas”, the overall situation along the Line of Control remains relatively calm, but in the last 24 hours, the Pakistan Army resorted to intense & unprovoked firing with heavy caliber weapons in selected areas of Krishna Ghati and Sunderbani, targeting Indian posts & civilian areas with Mortar bombs & heavy Arty Guns. The tension between the two nuclear power nations escalated after the Indian Air force strike at the terror camps in pakistan, and then the pakistani PM stating that Pakistan does not want war, but the experts believe that pakistan is under tremendous global pressure to clear his image. The same was effectively retaliated by the Indian Army. There have been no casualties on the Indian side, Army said yesterday. We are maintaining strict vigil along the Line of Control and IB.
