Delhi opens with curbs for markets, offices & transport |
The Government of Indian National Capital Delhi has announced certain relaxations in the fourth phase of coronavirus lockdown after the central government allowed states to decide their own restrictions and relaxations for Lockdown 4.0. The Delhi government has allowed buses, cars, autos, and E-rickshaws to ply across the national capital from Monday. Briefing the media, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, government and Private offices can open at full strength. He said, no activities will be allowed in the containment zones except essential services while stepping out of homes between 7 PM to 7 AM except for essential services will still be prohibited in the city. He said that wearing masks and maintaining social distancing is mandatory for all. Marriages will be allowed with a maximum of 50 people, and funerals will be allowed with a maximum of 20 people. For public transport, Buses will ply on the roads with not more than 20 passengers. The screening of each passenger will be done before boarding the bus. Taxis and cabs will be allowed with only two passengers. Auto rickshaws and e-rickshaws will be permitted with only one passenger. All markets will be opened, but shops in markets and market complexes will operate on an Odd-Even basis.
