Dissonance in NDA allies |
After the loss of three state elections for the Bhartiya Janta Party, murmurings within the ruling coalition National Democratic Alliance have increased and coalition partners started flagging issues like seat sharing for the coming 2019 polls, importance to allies and identification of reasons for the defeat. The first to raise dissenting voice was the Lok Jan shakti Party of Ram Vilas Paswan. Now, Apna Dal, problem has surfaced for the BJP days after Rashtriya Lok Samta Party Chief Upendra Kushwaha walked out of the BJP-led coalition in Bihar, upset over seat allocation. Union Minister of state for health Anupriya Patel`s Apna Dal, joined the list of disgruntled BJP allies. She skipped two programmes of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as her party pledged to boycott all such events until the BJP gave the party "proper respect". Apna Dal apparently, has differences are mainly with Yogi Adityanath. According to them, the party was upset that Ms Patel had not been invited properly for the Chief Minister`s events. Another ally, Shiv Sena has increased its onslaught on the BJP leadership for the Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya.
