Indian Premier League got off to a surprising start on Saturday when Chennai Super Kings met Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chepauk stadium. The spin friendly track helped the spinners from the first ball itself with Chennai spinners bagging 8 out of the 10 Bangalore wickets and bundled out the visitors for a paltry 70 runs. Chennai steadily got to the target with the loss of 3 wickets. It was a double header on sunday as Kolkata Knight Riders played a last over thriller against the Sunrisers Hyderabad winning by 6 wickets with only 2 balls to spare. The second match of the day was between Delhi Capitals led by Shreyas Iyer and three time IPL champions Mumbai Indians. The Delhi capitals team scored heavily on the Wankhede pitch and reached 213 in their allotted 20 overs. Chasing the target, Mumbai were reduced to 176 for 9 with injured pacer Jasprit Bumrah unable to bat. Delhi won the match by 37 runs. Veteran Yuvraj Singh top-scored for the hosts with 53 off 35 balls.
