The India-Rwanda Innovation Growth Program is seen as a vital pilot to create a B2B as well as B2G platform to enable validated match-making between entrepreneurs to ensure sustainable and scalable enterprises. The program will establish an ecosystem to later match hundreds of technologies and innovations per the needs assessment of each country in Africa. Government officials, industry representatives and even development finance institutions from both sides expressed satisfaction with the process and potential outcome of the program. The high commissioner of Rwanda said Rwanda is in dire need of the program process to funnel in and match the correct innovations and technologies for specific sectors. All agreed that the program would propel their socio economic growth. Industry members already positioned in East Africa and those now joining the program applauded the Govt of India`s initiative as a real enabler and catalyst. CSIR DG also suggested that the present government is proactive and his organisation would also like to offer technologies and work with institutions in Africa.
