India Successfully test fires its nuclear-capable, long-range ballistic missile Agni-IV |
India on Sunday, successfully test-fired its nuclear-capable, long-range ballistic missile Agni-IV, with a strike range of 4,000 km, as part of a user trial by the Indian Army. The indigenous built intercontinental ballistic missile Agni-IV was test fired from Abdul Kalam Island near Dhamra Port in the Indian state of Odisha. This is a part of regular test. The missile was fired from a mobile launcher. During the test, Defence Research and Development Organization scientists and top-level defence officials were present and monitored the movement of missile. This was the 7th trial of Agni-IV missile. The last trial conducted by the strategic force command (SFC) of the Indian Army from the same base on January 2, 2018 was successful.
