India beat West Indies to clinch T20I series |
Indian cricket team beat West Indies by 67 runs to win the third and final T20 International at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday. With this victory, India clinched the three-match T20 series 2-1. Batting first, India made 240 for 3 in the stipulated 20 overs. K L Rahul top scored with 91 off just 56 balls but missed out on his century perishing in the last over. Opening partner Rohit Sharma played a power-packed innings of 71 runs, including five sixes and six boundaries. Skipper Virat Kohli gave the finishing touch to the Indian innings with a scintillating unbeaten knock of 70 runs off 29 balls. He hit seven sixes. In reply, the West Indies managed 173 for 8 in 20 overs, with Kieron Pollard scoring 68 off 39 balls. Among the Indian bowlers, Deepak Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav shared two wickets each. West Indies had defeated India by eight wickets in the second T-20 at Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday while India had beaten West Indies by six wickets in the first T-20 in Hyderabad on Friday. India and West Indies will now play three ODIs starting from Sunday.
