India celebrates Diwali minus pollution |
The festival of lights, Diwali was celebrated with fervour and gaiety across India and abroad on Sunday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan and exchanged Diwali greetings. Bollywood celebrities too joined in the celebrations of Diwali as Mega Star Amitabh Bachchan, and many other celebrities hosted parties for friends and families. The Bachchans hosted their Diwali party at their home after a gap of two years and they`ve invited the creme de la creme of the film industry to their Mumbai bungalow Jalsa. The who`s who of Bollywood were invited including Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Rani Mukerji, Katrina Kaif, Janhvi Kapoor and others. Among the invited stars, Bipasha Basu and her hubby Karan Singh Grover stunned in traditional avatars for the party. Big B and Jaya Bachchan`s grandchildren, Agastya Nanda and Navya Naveli also joined the party. Actress Sara Ali Khan spent her Diwali eve with Dad Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Taimur.
