India crashes out of cricket T20 World Cup semi finals |
Indian cricket team bowed out of the ICC T20 World Cup on November 10. It seemed a rather one-sided semi-final at the Adelaide Oval. The Men in Blue, led by Rohit Sharma, couldn`t put up much of a resistance as England won the match by 10 wickets with as many as 24 balls to spare. Asked to bat first, India were on the back foot from the start and made a paltry 69 runs in the first 10 overs. A late burst by Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya, both of whom scored half-centuries, helped India post a par score of 168 for England to chase. However, England skipper Jos Buttler and opening partner Alex Hales made sure that the team achieved the target in 16 overs. They bludgeoned the Indian bowling attack to all parts of the Adelaide Oval to win by 10 wickets. After defeating India comfortably, England will now lock horns with Babar Azam`s Pakistan in the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 13.
