The preparations are in full swing for one of the world`s biggest gathering of humans to take the dip into the holy river at the Maha Kumbh…in the indian state of Prayagraj. The world`s biggest holy assemblage - the Kumbh mela is attended by millions of devotees and the number keeps increasing every time. Every 12 years the Maha Kumbh is celebrated as the devotees take a dip into the holy river. Maha Kumbh has a mesmerizing influence over the minds of people as it witnesses the largest human gathering in history, for a common cause, on a single day irrespective of any worldly barriers of caste, creed, color and religion. It is once in a lifetime experience seeing millions of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world come together. The Kumbh Mela is considered the most sacred and greatest of Indian festivals. It is believed that by taking the ceremonial dip in the holy river on this auspicious day one can attains salvation (moksha.) The preparations has been in full swing for the upcoming Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj to be held in January 2019. Prayagraj earlier known as Allahabad is situated at the confluence of the divine Indian rivers of Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati at Sangam.
