India on track for Hyperloop system |
India could become the first country to have a Hyperloop system as a mode of transport which will not only create more than one million direct and indirect employment opportunities. India is preparing to changeover to the hyperloop system and as per experts, it has what it takes to do it successfully. Hyperloop system operates by sending specially designed pods through tubes which keep a partial vacuum and allows faster speeds than wheels. With more than 2400 flights taking off everyday, 23 million passengers travelling through its railway network and 231 million registered vehicles on the roads, transport in India is a very big sector and with metro cities, vibrant workforce, and being the fastest growing economy, tackling the challenges transport sector poses, is essential for both country`s growth and existence. The growing India needs and has a chance to move to a new mode of transportation - one which is fast, safe and cost effective at the same time. These will support the `Make in India` industries as well as attract foreign direct investment.
