Indian markets continue in red with weaker global cues |
Indian benchmark indices BSE Sensex, and NSE Nifty 50 extended their losses and were in red in the early trade on September 26. Global cues were weak as US Stocks fell on September 23, and Asian shares were trading lower in morning trade. Japan`s Nikkei 225 dropped 2.19%, and the Topix slipped 2%. South Korea`s Kospi lost 2.3% and the Kosdaq shed 2.97%. Meanwhile, Wall Street`s main indices slumped as the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.62%, the S&P 1.72%, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.8%. The Sensex and the Nifty had fallen more than one and half a percent on September 23. Both indices declined amid fall in the global share markets. The Sensex finished below 58,100 points while the Nifty settled below the 17,350 level.
