Indiaspora, NASSCOM summit |
The Indian American organization Indiaspora paired up with NASSCOM, the standard-bearer for India`s tech industry, to present the “Tech Triangle Summit” Jan. 15 in New Delhi, on the sidelines of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu`s meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Indiaspora led a delegation of 15 Indian American business leaders to the summit, to meet with their Indian and Israeli counterparts. MR Rangaswami, founder of Indiaspora, noted that the group will focus on collaborations in agriculture technology, water technology, biotechnology, as well as information technology. They are aiming to create new models, perhaps of American investors of Indian origin investing in Israel to bring products to the Indian market. Beyond the summit, 10 start-ups from India will attend incubators in Israel later this year. Sanjeev Joshipura, the new executive director of Indiaspora, said Prime Minister Modi`s historic trip to Israel in July 2017 was evidence of the increasingly close ties between India and Israel. At Indiaspora, they believe that a trilateral alliance between three natural allies — USA, India and Israel — should extend to an area where all three nations have an intrinsic strength — innovation and entrepreneurship.
