LK Advani praises party culture in his blog |
After what turned out to be a long silence Bharatiya Janata Party`s founder and senior most leader, Lal Krishna Advani broke his silence and expressed his sentiments through his blog “Nation First, Party Next, Self-Last”, and clearly stated that anyone who does not agree to his party`s ideology does not make him a traitor to the nation or an Anti-National. He emphasized that “In our conception of Indian nationalism, we have never regarded those who disagree with us politically as “anti-national”. The party has been committed to freedom of choice of every citizen at personal as well as political level. As he bows out of the politics after being denied ticket to contest the Lok Sabha polls from his constituency of Gandhi Nagar in Gujarat, he expressed his gratitude to the people of Gandhinagar for having “elected him to the Lok Sabha six times”. “Their love and support have always overwhelmed me.” He has been the sitting MP from Gandhinagar since 1991. This year, The BJP has fielded party president Amit Shah from Gandhinagar. In the blog addressing the BJP workers, Advani wrote that the foundation day of the party “is an important occasion for all of us in the BJP to look back, look ahead and look within.”
