Last day to file nominations for Phase 1 |
Monday will mark the last date for filing nomination for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The Voting will be done on 11th of April for 91 constituencies spread over 20 states. The Dance of Democracy has started picking up momentum across India. Today is the last day of filing of nominations for the first round of polling for the Lok Sabha elections scheduled on April 11. As many as 91 constituencies, spread over 20 states and union territories, will go to polls on that day. The scrutiny of nominations will take place on March 26, while March 28 is the last date for withdrawal of candidature. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will also file nomination from the Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency. The Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases till 19th May. The counting will take place on 23rd May. The election commission has beefed up its surveillance against the corrupt practices, but mudslinging during the electioneering is order of the day with personal attacks by political leaders on each other.
