Legal action against upcoming movies |
A new trend is emerging in the entertainment industry in India. No sooner the release date of a movie arrives than some one on one or the other pretext creates a legal tangle. This is a recent trend though some industry people call it a publicity gimmick resorted to by concerned directors or producers. Anyway, some directors and producers don`t view it as bad for their films. Recently, a still from director Dinesh Vijan`s film `Raabta` is accused of being a copy of the Telugu film `Magadheera`. Incidentally, this happens only a few weeks before the release date. Another one titled `Behen Hogi Teri` is allagedly charged for the lead character`s Lord Shiva get-up and `Guest In London` for being an unauthorised sequel. It doesn`t end here; `Jolly LLB 2` is alleged to be mocking lawyers. The directors and the producers wonder why would they hurt anyone`s sentiments or create a controversy while making a film.
