Lockdown eased in Delhi |
India`s National Capital Delhi and the neighboring northern states on 14th June eased their lockdown and allowed restaurants, shops and markets to re-open. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on 13th June that all shops would be allowed to operate through the week. Restaurants will reopen for dine-in. Restricted functioning of weekly markets would also be permitted. Kejriwal also said that the government would continue to observe infection and fatalities and if seen to rise will resort back to restrictions. For now, there is a phased opening. manner. Restaurants are allowed to open at 50 percent capacity. All market complexes and malls would be completely open from 10 am to 8 pm. He added that schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions would remain closed. Social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious festival gatherings are also prohibited. Swimming pools, stadiums, sports complexes, cinema theatres, and multiplexes would also remain closed.So also the spas, gyms, yoga institutes would remain closed. In government offices, there would be 100 percent attendance of group A officers and 50 percent of the rest. Essential activities would continue as usual.
