Modi in Bhutan expands bilateral cooperation |
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has returned home after a successful two day visit to Bhutan. He was seen off Lotay Tshering at the airport this afternoon. Earlier, The king of Bhutan hosted a luncheon in the honour of Indian Prime Minister. During the visit, Prime Minister Modi and the Bhutanese leadership resolved to take the bilateral cooperation beyond hydroelectric power sector. The two countries signed various MOUs to diversify the friendship. The sectors inclue, space,education, science, technology and legal educations. Prevail over mindless hate. He said, happiness which springs from harmony. Modi appreciated that Bhutan has understood the essence of happiness as well as the spirit of harmony, togetherness and compassion. The Prime Minister said, going beyond the traditional sectors of cooperation, both countries are seeking to cooperate ex Defence minister Rajnath Singh declared on Sunday that if talks are held with Pakistan, they will be only on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The Union defence minister was addressing a public rally in Haryana ahead of flagging off the BJP`s Jan Ashirwad Yatra for the forthcoming Assembly polls. Under the Simla Agreement of 1972, both India and Pakistan had agreed that talks on the Kashmir issue would be bilateral New Delhi will only focus on getting PoK vacated by Pakistan during any talks in the future.
