Mongolia President in India |
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga will jointly unveil the Lord Buddha`s statue at Gandan Monastery in Ulaanbaatar through video-conferencing on Friday. The Mongolian President, who arrived in New Delhi on Thursday on a five-day state visit to India, was accorded the ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. He later met Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. He is accompanied by a high-level official and business delegation. During the meeting between Mongolian President and President Kovind, India and Mongolia signed and exchanged agreements in different fields. This is the first State Visit by a Mongolian President in last ten years. During the meetings between Mongolian President and Indian leadership, the two sides will hold in-depth discussions on a range of bilateral, regional and global issues. They will also review ongoing cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, energy, disaster management, defence, security, culture and capacity building. India and Mongolia had established a Strategic Partnership in 2015 during the visit of Prime Minister Modi to Mongolia.
