NDA losing-poll survey |
Bad news for NDA in 2019 even with support from KCR, Naveen Patnaik, AIADMK and Jagan Reddy: Mood of the Nation poll. Even if K Chandrasekhar Rao, Palaniswami, Jagan Reddy and Naveen Patnaik come together to lend support to the ruling National Democratic Alliance, the alliance will still fall short of the majority mark in front of the Mahagathbandhan. This is what the latest India Today-Karvy Insights Mood of the Nation poll has found. Though NDA and UPA will have an equal vote share of 44 per cent, if the Mahagathbandhan is joined by Mehbooba Mufti, Mamata Banerjee, Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav, they are likely to trounce the Modi government at the Centre in 2019. According to the nationwide survey, the ruling NDA that won a whopping 336 seats in 2014, will drop down to 257 while the UPA with support from new allies will go up from 59 seats to touch the majority mark of 272 seats. A total of 13,179 people participated in the survey.
