NDA marching towards massive victory |
The Narendra Modi wave has swapped away any challenge posed by the Congress or the united opposition as the Bharatiya Janata Party looks all set to improve on its humongous 2014 tally to attain a majority on its own in the Lok Sabha once again. The BJP is currently ahead on over 280 seats, with the partners in NDA pushing the total tally to over 340 seats, leads show as results of the general elections pour in. In the last election, the NDA had 336 seats while BJP accounted for 282. The stellar show by the BJP has sent the stock market soaring, with the BSE Sensex crossing 40,000 points for the first time ever. In the politically critical state of Uttar Pradesh, where the Samajwadi Party-Bahujan Samaj Party had posed a stiff challenge, the BJP was leading in 58 of the 80 seats at stake. With a clean sweep in the congress rule states BJP is gaining in states like Rajasthan, Madhya PRadesh, Karnataka and Chattisgarh, the party is surprisingly gaining in states like Odisha and west bengal. Result shows that all voters has voted for MOdi Cutting across cast, religion and class barriers. Lower middle class has played a vital role in the BJP`s predicted win. It seems the story of rashtrawad has clicked well with the voters.
