Claiming her victory in face off with CBI,West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday ended her dharma in Kolkata against the Central Bureau of Investigation`s attempt to question the city`s police chief in connection with ponzi scheme cases. A Fire brand leader warned of a stir in the national capital next week. At least 14 parties of the Opposition bloc spoke in favour of Banerjee, who faced criticism by the Centre for “constitutional breakdown” in Bengal. Apart from Naidu and Tejashwi, DMK Rajya Sabha member MK Kanimozhi and Samajwadi Party upper house MP Kiranmoy Nanda joined Banerjee on the stage in Kolkata during the agitation. Banerjee`s “Save Constitution” rally in New Delhi on February 13 and 14 is expected to turn out to be another mega show of Opposition parties. “We have decided to hold a dharma on February 13 and 14 in New Delhi,” said Banerjee. She stressed that the decision to hold a fresh agitation in Delhi was taken by all opposition parties. She claimed moral victory and ended her dharna after the Supreme Court ruled that Kolkata police Chief Rajeev Kumar must cooperate with the CBI but the agency can`t take coercive action against him for now. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu met her in Kolkata and extended support.
