Overseas Investors buy $1.7 bn FPIs |
India`s overseas investors remained net buyers in the domestic capital markets with an investment of over 1.68 billion dollars in the first 10 days in November so far as market sentiments improved following economic reforms by the government. The latest depositories data showed that Foreign Portfolio Investors infused around 901 million dollars in equities and 795 million dollars in debt segment between first to ninth of this month. This took the total net investment in both equity and debt markets to around 1.69 billion dollars. The latest inflows come after two consecutive months of foreign investments. In October, FPIs invested around 2.3 billion dollars while in September they had put in 918 million dollars.
