PM Modi condemns Cong over Election Manifesto |
Asserting, the cases of illegal infiltration will be dealt with firmly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted Congress and its manifesto for 2019 elections. Raising the pitch against his rivals in several public meetings in various states, Modi charged the West Bengal Chief Minister of creating stumbling blocks in the development of the state and such an approach, he said, had affected 7 million people there. He claimed that during last five years, they had rectified mistakes of the previous UPA government led by Congress. He deplored Congress for the manifesto that promises reviewing some clauses of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA). He said the Act works as a shield for the security forces in the fight against terrorists. He during the rallies highlighted the development work done by his government.
