PM Modi meets Indian Diaspora in South Korea |
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Seoul this Thursday on a two-day visit to South Korea. Delivering keynote address at India-Korea Business Symposium Mr Modi said India has emerged as a land of opportunity and no other large economy in the world is growing at over 7 per cent year after year. Prime Minister said, his government has introduced flagship program Start-Up India with 1.4 billion dollars fund for four years to create a startup ecosystem in India. PM also met with the South Korean President Moon Jae-in and held a joint press conference with him. Mr. MOdi also received the Seoul Peace Prize in recognition of his dedication to international cooperation, global growth and human development. As part of the global celebrations of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Indian Prime Minister unveiled a bust of Mahatma at the Seoul Campus of Yonsei University. In another event, he also interacted with the Indian community in South Korea. Prime Minister Modi also met with the Korean leadership, businesses and Indian Community.
