Political allies meet before the commencement of the Winter Session |
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the leaders of the ruling national democratic alliance-NDA for the crucial session of the parliament. The ruling Bhartiya Janta Party leaders are meeting at a time when leaders of RSS and Bajrang Dal have started building pressure for the construction of Ram temple in the city of Ayodhya which, according to scriptures, is the birth place of Hindu God Ram. Thousands of supporters of the Hindu group have gathered in the national capital to press this demand. The government, however, has not reacted to such a call as the main title suite case of the disputed BABRI MASJID- RAM JANAMBHOOMI SITE is being heard in the SUPREME COURT of India. The government, during the session will also push for passing of Triple Talaq bill which is pending in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament. It had promulgated an ordinance to make the triple talaq an offence under the Indian Penal Code sections. Political observers feel the current session will also be a washout session as the opposition is bent on raising the issue of corruption in the Rafael deal and farmers` distress.
