Prime Minister launches projects worth $ 4.6 billion in Bihar, Jhkd |
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid foundation stone for infrastructure projects worth 4.6 billion dollars in Bihar. He also laid foundation stone for the Patna Metro Rail Project to be constructed at a cost of over 1.8 billion dollars through a remote at a function at Barauni in Begusarai district. During his visit, he laid foundation stone for medical colleges at Chhapra and Purnea. PM also initiated construction of number of projects worth over 2.1 billion dollars in the oil and gas sector. Later in the day, he visited the state of Jharkhand where he inaugurated 3 medical colleges in Hazaribagh, Dumka and Palamu through a remote at a function. He also laid foundation stone for construction of 4 500-bedded hospitals in the three districts along with Jamshedpur. PM launched 3 rural water supply schemes in Hazaribagh. He also inaugurated an engineering college building for women in Ramgarh and laid the foundation stone of Centre for Tribal Studies at Acharya Vinoba Bhave University in Hazaribagh.
