Sensex closes above 32,000-mark |
India`s Sensex on July 13, 2017 closed above 32,000-mark for first time. Sensex closed on 32,037.38 while Nifty ended at 9,891.70.For the fourth day in row, markets have closed on record high. After a comparatively rangebound trading session on July 12, markets roared back to stay strongly bullish on July 13 with Sensex closing above 32,000 for the first time ever. The 30-share BSE Sensex gained 232.56 points to close at 32,037.38 while the broader 50-share NSE Nifty closed at 9,891.70, gaining 75.60 points. Both the indices spiked more than 0.75 per cent during the day. The analysts owe the surge to increased liquidity in market and investors` confidence in the economic reforms. ITC, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Yes Bank were the major gainers while Indian Oil, ONGC and Tata Motors lost the most on July 13.
