UK COVID-19 medical supplies arrive in India |
A Lufthansa flight from the United Kingdom landed in India on 27th April with consignments comprising vital medical supplies from the United Kingdom, including 100 ventilators and 95 oxygen concentrators. India`s Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said “International cooperation at work! Appreciate the shipment of vital medical supplies from the United Kingdom, including 100 ventilators and 95 oxygen concentrators that arrived early this morning,”. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson told the media saying “We`re looking at what we can do to help and support the people of India.”. He also described India as a “great partner.” The UK is among several countries that have stepped up to help India during this unprecedented second wave of Covid-19 infections. Infection numbers each day are surpassing figures from the previous day.
